Galactic Conquest

I would like to know what you all think about having a persistent Galactic Conquest-like system for multiplayer. Much like the mods that include persistent multiplayer right now....but different.

This will also tie into a concept that I will post at a later time that is for making the experience more personal and large at the same time.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ok done , if it is possible to add another tab next to the news section and all the others we can add in like "WAR ROOM" or "Galactic Control", and measure out the wins and loses of P.v.P. games and P.v.C. and in our news on moddb.com we can update how the war is playing out and for certain things for example on Christmas have a tournament and which ever side wins gets a new unit added to their disposal, and then a month or so later and the other factions new unit in, Reward them for their efforts . This can encourage ppl to play PvP games over skirmishes.

Mmmmm, it's different than that. Have you played or seen some of the other persistent mods? Or perhaps played any of the other SW games with GC.

While I think it would be awesome to include something in the actual menu, I don't think it's possible within the client. Tbh, we'd have to ask one of the other mod's devs about it cause I don't have the coding experience to make the call. I'm pretty sure, though, that it requires a third party application to be run and from there you can see the active war, find games, join games, etc. Pretty much whatever you make it work for, but again I don't know yet. I'm just throwing the idea out there first.
